Other sources of support
Each treatment centre has its own specialist nurse practitioners available to their patients. They can help you make decisions about which treatment to have and they can support you as you recover. Some nurses can refer you to counselling if you need it, and some centres organise patient groups that you may be able to join.
To speak to your specialist nurse, call the centre where you were treated and they can put you in touch. The main numbers are below:
Glasgow (Tennent Institute) – 0141 211 2934
Liverpool (RLBUHT) – 0151 7063973
London (Moorfields) – 020 7521 4639
Sheffield (Hallamshire) – 0114 271 3962
This is an independent discussion forum set up and run by a group of patients as a source of support and information.
