About Eye Cancer

Other forms of eye cancer

In addition to uveal and conjunctival melanoma, both of which are forms of ocular melanoma, there are other types of eye cancer.

One cause of tumours in the eye is metastases from other cancers.  Many cancers are able to spread to the eye, including breast cancer, lung cancer and cutaneous melanoma (skin cancer).  If you have developed a tumour in your eye that has come from another cancer, your treatment will depend on which cancer you have.  Speak to your oncologist to find out more.  If you would like support because you are losing your vision, or your eye, please visit our support pages.

Other primary cancers of the eye include lymphoma and retinoblastoma.
